svcd won't start at the begining

I need help with my svcd's I have a pioneer, an apex, and the portable initial idm-1731, i got the last to recently because people have said they will play anything. Well im having problems with them. they do play anything almost.

Questions:
1. is there a way to speed up the load time on the initial and apex.
2. the pioneer plays everything flawlessly but the other two seem to have strange problems with my svcd's. the biggest one is if they have pbc tracks they start on the first track wich is usually part way in the movie. The only way i have found to fix this is when making the discs, make the first track start as close to the begining as possible but thats still kinda annoying. And I dont always make the svcd's so then i would have to redo them so that the track would start as close to the begining as possible. i tried to turn of pbc on the idm but dont know how and havent tried yet on the apex. any help would be greatly appereciated. so i dont have to take both back to the store. thanks.

Burn your tracks using vcdeasy ... and set PBC off when burning.. this cant be done with Nero .. or use other authoring software
