I am using DVD Shrink (V3.0) and DVD Decrypter to backup a DVD-9 to one recordable DVD. I have downloaded a guide and the first step I have done is to open disc and decrypt the DVD via DVD Shrink. This took about 50 mins. The guide then says to open files (now on H/D) and open the Video_ts.ifo file. The only problem is all I have is an ISO file (8MB) and an MDS file (5KB). If I try to open either of these files I get an error message saying DVD Shrink encountered and error and cannot continue - invalid filename, reason unknown. I seem to have decrypted my 8MB file but it does not appear to be in the correct format? Please advise, thanks in advance.

Not sure about your files, but I use AutoshrinkISO along with DVDshrink3 an DvdDecrypter. Automates the process of burning and makes it almost a one button solution. You put a DVD in the burner, launch AutoshrinkISO, setup DVDshrink options and let it run. It runs the shrink processes you selected, burns the DVD and shuts off your computer.

There is no need to "decrypt" with DVDShrink. I NEVER use both DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter together for the same backup....it is not necessary.
Shrink the movie with DVDShrink....place those files (under 4.7 gig) to your hard drive.
