The beeps are BIOS telling you something is wrong. I would disconnect everything except the video card, just disconnect data cables and power cables, remove all cards except video. See if it boots to a DOS prompt,if it does start adding back components till it fails.
If it won't boot to a Dos prompt with everything disconnected then you need a new motherboard.

How many beeps are there? Long or short beeps. What type of computer do you have? YOu can find most BIOS beep codes online if you do a search Like: "Gateway beep codes" in yahoo or google

Yes the BIOS beep codes are the way to go. You will need to know what type of BIOS you have (AMI, Award, etc) or at least what brand machine you have. The beeps will be a series of long and/or short beeps and once you identify the beeps and match it up to the machine you have, you should know what is wrong.

One thing you may want to try to start with is just reseating the various cards you have in the unit. By this I mean pulling them out, and placing them firmly back in place. A card that has been slighlty jarred out of place will cause problems booting.

Don't forget to try what the other guys above me said.

    Good luck to you!
