    i have made some svcd's in the past and now would like to change them to dvd-r, i no how to burn a dvd-r now, so all i want to do is put the svcd discs that i have back on the hardrive so i can author them and make them into dvd-r's, can anybody tell me how to do this, all i want to do is put them back on the hardrive again where they came from, thank you.

  2. Best bet would be to extract the MPEG file (contained in the MPEG2 directory on the SVCD) using ISOBuster. Be sure to use EXTRACT BUT FILTER ONLY M2F2 MPEG FRAMES.

    You also have to re-encode the mpeg to 352x480 with 48khz audio and gop frames at 18 frames maximum.You can use svcd2dvd but i tried it with bad results.

    I've used it with great success...

  5. now lets say, that i want to do the same thing, meaning that i want to get 2 svcd or vcd cd,s and patch them up as one, with no gap in beetween, what then do i do to acomplish this feat?

  6. You can use TMPGEnc Plus to do this provided both discs were encoded at the same bitrate and resolution.

  8. Oh...I forgot to add that VCDGear is a great, free tool that can extract the mpegs (SVCD or VCD) from bin files.
