I play my DVD backups on a 25" TV so the quality of the backup always seems to be good on such a small screen. Someday I'll get a big-screen, and when I do, I would like my backups to look as good as possible without having to re-do them. Does anyone have an opinion on which of these methods would yield the best quality?

    1) Rip with DVD Decrypter, shrink & burn with Instantcopy v8 using 'quality' setting.
    2) Rip with DVD Decrypter, shrink with DVD Shrink 3 using 'deep analysis' , burn with Instantcopy v8.
    3) Rip and shrink with DVD Shrink 3 using 'deep analysis', burn with Instantcopy v8.

    Thanks.

2 and 3 seems to be the best alternatives since both uses the DVD Shrink Deep Analysis feature which works astounding in maintaining good video quality of compressed files. Ripping with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink seems transparent to me (no difference in DVD quality, just a matter of convenience in the case you can't open an encrypted DVD with one of them).

I agree with rhegedus, I use DVD2One for every backup and they look great on a big screen TV.

  5. This may be a stupid question (Sorry if it is) so please no flaming.

    BUT

I do all my backups with Pinnacle Instantcopy whilst running AnyDVD (which prevents the Protection) and the quality is BOB ON.

What is the difference between this and the various ways mentioned here.

I know i paid for the 2 packages i mentioned(but for the price they are VFM).

Is there something i am missing?????

    Whatever the reasons happy converting!!!!

    JakoUK,

I see that you have just became a member a few days ago, so you may not be aware of the rules. But what you are doing is called "hijacking". If you have a question of your own, it is recommended that you start a new topic and let people give answers from there.

I am not trying to be an *******, just trying to inform you a little.
