Hi.
I have an ATI AIW 8500DV installed with Win 2000 OS on the computer with a 2100 AMD processor and 512 RAM. It used to capture video off my 8mm camcorder no problem using the bundled ULead VideoStudio6, but now the computer crashes on playback. I read somewhere that Easy Creator 6 somehow interferes with the 8500DV software. I reinstalled the videostudio software, same problem. I'm wondering if I should now reinstall the all the latest ATI drivers and update other ATI supporting software. If this is the case, is there somewhere that explains, step by step, how to do this for a novice. I have (I think) all the latest drivers as best as I could ascertain saved on a CD from the ATI website.
Also is the 8500DV considered the AIW Radeon, the Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO, or the Radeon 64MB (SDR) for purposes of getting the correct drivers etc? The AIW web site does not specifially call out he 8500DV.
I’m currently running ATI multimedia center 7.7.0.0 on my computer.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

The ATI.com site has what you need. Grab the newer ATI drivers, and then MMC 8.7 (not tested 8.8, so can't honestly recommend it yet).
