Hi,
I've tried an AIW 128 Pro, ATI TV Wonder VE, and Studio PCTV Pro. The TV quality on all of them are poor.
My question is: Will a capture card with no tuner using a tuner in my VCR look better? Or is it a function of watching it on the PC? If so, what are my choices (DVC II, etc)?
Thanks!

Errr... If your cable signal goes into your VCR and then you use a composite signal to your ATI card, aren't you already bypassing the on-board tuner and using the VCR's tuner?

That's not how I have it hooked up, but I'll try it to compare. The reason I wanted opinions is that I've heard that the TV tuner on the board can cause distortion to any signal.
