VCD Menus and Pioneer DV525

Hello all,

I have a Pioneer DV525 and have problems with VCD menus
created with both Nero 5.5 and WinOnCD 3.8PE. While
my player correctly displays the first menu screen,
hitting the "Next" button on the remote or on the player
does not advance to the next Menu screen in PBC mode
(e.g if I have many items in the Menu, I'll have multiple
menu screens and I can't access screens 2, 3, etc.)

While I can't access the other menus, the VCD or slideshow
plays just fine (e.g. all play items are okay) with and
without PBC enabled.


Anyone have a tip on how to work around this? Is there
a Nero or WinOnCD setting to fix this? Or is it a software
bug? or is it basic DVD player incompatibility that I
need to live with?

Hi,

I've also made a number of VCDs and SVCDs with menus
using Nero.
In the meanwhile, I think I found a problem in Nero menu.
When I created a menu with bitmap files, Nero did it fine.
But when I played with .jpg files to creat the menus (Nero
recognizes .jpg files fine!), the results ended up the same
problem you had.
