Hmm when I've edited my captured material in Premiere I frameserv it to tmpgenc, but is there no way of encoding the material frameserved in 2-pass (or more) VBR? When it's made the first pass I get an error message.

What's the nature of the error message? What frameserver are you using? I have successfully encoded to a MPEG-2 file with TMPGenc Plus (2-pass VBR) by frameserving Premiere 6.5 through Videotools.net AVISynth/Video Server plug-in.
