SVCD2DVD is trying to connect to the Internet or your local network


Could someone explain this to me. I realize (or expect) that it has something to do with .net framework. But I have never (until SVCD2DVD and CopytoDVD) had software other than Norton want to connect to the net.

Is this JUST for checking for updates?
Will the program still function properly if I block its access to the net?

Sorry but I don't want to let programs access the net unless I choose to update it myself.

Short and simple Yes and Yes. But remember you need to get the new updates by hand and the first time you start to program it needs to connect to the internet cause it is on auto update by default.
