evening (again)

quick question. my Panasonic E20 has stopped recording to dvd. every time i try to record to dvd it will record for 21-29 seconds then U11 for about 4 seconds then u99 and shut off.

ive tried 4 types of media (which have ALL worked before) and i get nothing but heartache, U11 and U99s. I bought this machine the week it came out in 2001 and have recorded approx 1000+ dvds with it.

im assuming its time for an upgrade (to that 120giger) but wanted to know if i should try some sort of cleaning, or something on it before i gave up.
