  1. I used TMPGenc to burn a Fuji DVD-R in Liteon 411S burner. The disc plays without a problem in computer DVD drives, but starts stuttering in my Panasonic RP62. It always stutters in the same spot. Curiously, I noticed that the stuttering seems to get worse when I paly the disc a week later.

    Bad media or bad drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Tried another one with Roxio software. Same problem. Does someone else have a similar experience with Liteon ?

Could be bad media...you didn't tell us what media you are using...

I don't think it is a bad drive, if it were the drive the whole DVD would be screwed up, not just in that one part.

I wasn't aware TMPEGenc would burn DVDs. I use an old version of the program when I need to go that route.

It could be a burning software issue, since it skips in the same spot everytime your program might have had to pause for some other system event during the burn process....like the screen save starting and that caused a pause in the burn operation.

But if I had to put money on it...I would say it's bad media....although burning with Roxio is not exactly the best software for burning DVD's....Burn with Decrypter or Nero...I have only seen maybe 2 posts talking about burning with Roxio and they were having problems with it. I don't really know, I don't use Roxio, I have never used Roxio and as long as Nero is around...I won't use Roxio.
