    Now what do i need to plain and simply be able to back up some DVDs and Playstation 2 games... What programs do i need?

    Now it comes with a software CD that has some programs you can install. i don't know which ones if any to install...

    1.RecordNow DX
    2.My DVD

    the rest are just other types of software, not recording software...please help me!!

    Definently look for an updated firmware. All dvd drives have some problems using the first firmware but they work amazing if you update them.
