Hi Everybody.
As a newbie could someone advise me how to convert a DIVX.TS movie file to a format which I can play on my home DVD player.

Have a look in the convert section over

Then try looking in the guides section over

Should find the answer in there.
Never tried to do it myself but have always found them sections a good place to start.Not bothered by small problems...

Thanks, but I need to know also what file format I need to burn onto the DVD-R to be able to play on my home DVD player.

DVD's use MPG2. As iooi stated there are guides and much more info on what your trying to do in the Left hand column.

pretty easy to read stuff. you need a guide called divx to dvd.
if you can read, then you can find it.
when problems arise, then ask some specifics. -
