    hi i just downloaded a trailer to try my codecs out, and when i play the mpg trailer its showing as a win amp file. so when i choose which programme to open it with, i choose win media player, and i only get sound and no pic. am i missing some codecs. thanxs

    If its mpeg 1 then there is no codec required (mpeg1 is supported by windows), could be a fake file. If its mpeg2 then you need an mpeg2 codec. Installing a DVD player such as powerDVD or winDVD will install an mpeg2 codec.
