  1. Hello,

I just installed a new motheboard since the old one got busted. I used to be able to rip a whole DVD for about 10 minutes, but now after installing the new motherboard, it takes me 35 minutes to rip the same DVD.

Also, now Smartripper can't find any key at all. It keeps saying "not decrypted". I tried many DVDs, and Smartripper couldn't find any key. And while it's ripping the vob files from the DVD, my computer acts weird like sluggish/slowing down.

Another weird thing, the mouse sometimes moves normally, then it stops moving for a few seconds, moves normally, and stops moving again for a few seconds. It looks like my computer is having a "heart attack". This happens everytime I rip with Smartripper after installing the new motherboard.

I have a Pioneer DVD 105S, DMA is enabled. I never had this kind of problem before with my old motherboard so I think this has something to do with the new mobo. Please let me know what I should do?

    Regards,
    Terence

  2. What brand and model mobo was your last? Whats the new one?
Make sure your mobo is updated to the latest bios. I have an abit kt7 raid and until I flashed the bios dma wasn't "really" working.

  3. Make sure that you have 'DMA' enabled on any of your hard-drives, and you dvd-rom drive aswell.... it makes a hell of a difference
