  1. Hi,

I captured some video (for the first time ever ) into MJPEG. I need to convert (and deinterlace it) into DivX. However, the DivX codec isn't showing up in VirtualDub's list of codecs.

How do I get VirtualDub to see it?

Also, when I convert this file to SVCD, it makes a bit of a mess of deinterlacing it. Here's what I do:

    - Capture the video using VirtualVCR
    - Load the resulting MJPEG file into VirtualDub
    - Select "Full Processing" for video and "Direct Stream Copy" for audio
    - Go to filters and use the deinterlace filter, selecting "Blend"
    - Frameserve into TMPGEnc and encode as interlaced

This is done as a guide on this site told me to. It works fine, but the video is weird - people move their arms and suddenly get two arms! Everything is doubled around movement. I'm sure this has something to do with interlacing, but what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help - it is greatly appreciated!

    Happy Christmas, too!

I hate to ask, but did you install the DivX codec?
