    I think my wife is getting me one for Christmas!
    My question is for anyone who has it as well as a Sony DAV S-300.
    Will discs made on the Panasonic recorder play on a Sony machine?

    You won't be able to read ram discs - only dvd-rs. You need to use ram to get the most from the machine (timeslip, editing).
