Hi,
I have a Memories on TV album that I want to give to the granparents of our 6 month old boy.
Can anyone recommend a suitable soundtrack / artist?
So far, I have Rod Stewart Forever Young.
Any more ideas?
Thanks
Pete

Metallica always touches that soft spot in the soul! Especially for the grandparents!

I've done several similar projects for my parents, who live out of town. I did one to Dusty Springfield's "Put A Little Love In Your Heart" which was really catchy with the video and pictures we used. It turned out rather nice. Mostly, I'll just use some good old jazz piano tunes softly in the background.
Right now, I'm looking for a good song that shows our daughter getting her first haircut. It's one of those things my father has waited 30 years to see since I gave him such a fit. The only thing is, my daughter was cool and laid back at the whole thing. I'm thinking of using Otis Redding's "Sittin' on the dock of the bay" but I'm not completely sold on the idea. I want a song that just says no worries. I can't think of any more. any suggestions?
DaveNo really, I have no idea what I'm doing. -
Give 'em some credit. Just because they're over 50 doesn't mean that they don't like new music. I'm sure they would enjoy something besides Sinatra or Bing.
You'll find a couple of toons on Rod Stewarts "It had to be you... Great American Songbook" that they'll really enjoy and will be suitable. Your choice of "Forever Young" is a good one also, even though it's a little more hip than the ones you'll find on "Songbook".
