    when i capture a vcd file from my tv card and try to edit out the commercials in tmpge the audio gets out of sync with the video. is there a setting i'm missing? help please?

    what software do you use to capture and what format does it output into ?

    VCD isn't a format - MPEG-1 that is VCD compliant is most likely what you are capturing to. It might be worth trying to save the different sections you want to keep as separate MPEGs and then join them together at the end ?

    sorry, it's mpeg 1. i tried it one at a time but it's still out of sync.even the first chunk. any other ideas? thanks again

    Is it consistently behind throughout or does it get progressively worse the further you get through it ?

    Try cutting with another tool, TMPGEnc doesn't like mpegs created by other programs.
