I have been trying to make DVD to SVCD using the latest DVD2SVCD. When Cinema Craft starts it says about 5 hours to finish. It finishes and starts again this time another 17 hours to finish (All together 25 hours). I did set the settings to 4 passes. Is it normal? In the middle of the second run for 17 hours I cancelled CCE Encoding, DVD2SVCD finished the creation and now I got three *.bin files and now I am burning them using CDRWIN. Please help if I have done the right thing.
Thanking you in advance.

Yes, this is normal. CCE starts and create the video information file (.vaf). Then the encoding starts. Let it do the job, don't cancel it.

Sounds like you are worried about the time it takes to encode each pass.
There a quite a few reasons that affect the speed you encode
1 your CPU
2 your RAM (cce states 256)
3 your hdd speed (try reading from one and writing to another)
4 your o/s

My PC is P3, 733mhz with over 500mb RAM. Two very fast hard disks.
The problem is that when I burnt the *.bin files using CDRWIN, the whole procedure went ok but there were no files showing in the windows explorer. Nothing played through WINDVD. Thare are three bbMPEG_Muxed_File.mpg. They play fine through the WINDVD 3.0 no problems at all. The pictures and sound are great.
It has confused me more. What is going on here? Does anybody has any answers?
Thanking you in Advance.

Not sure I understand. You have the bin/cue files and the MPGs so everything should seems to have worked. Do you know how to burn bin files w/ CDRWIN? You load the cue file, and this 'uses the bin file' to create the xSVCD.

I loaded the cue files and then hit the burn button. CDRWIN started burning and finished around 15 mintues. I do not know that everthing went ok. How do I trasfer the movies to CD. I even tried using Nero Burning trying to create SVCD from those *.mpg files. It took around 20 mintues or so, still no movie/files on the CD. What is going on?
Thanking you in advance.
