  1. I can't seem to get this to work. I don't know if it's the 2001 or my receiver.

Whenever I try to play a divx/xvid that is encoded AC3, I only get 2 channel audio to my receiver. Yes, my receiver has DD and DTS decoding on it. It seems like it is not sending the DD signal to the receiver.

What settings should I have on the DVD player? Bitstream only? 2ch/Bistream? Suggestions?

DVD player plays fine with regular DVDs in DTS/DD. The problem only occurs with divx/xvid files with AC3 encode. I wonder if the Liteon is not able to handle the ac3 sound from those files as ac3 and it's just spitting out 2 channel.

I'm running firmware 229 on the 2001. Any ideas?

  2. Hmmm..what version fo firmware are you running? You should choose BitStream only option for audio. I have no problems playing DivX/XviD encoded with 5/6 channel AC3 with LVD-2001. Ofcourse you need a good quality digital cable between your player and the receiver.

  3. sreemv,

running f/w 229. I also have an optical cable running from the player to the receiver. It must be something I don't have setup correctly on the player.

  4. like sreemv said, make sure the audio is set to bitstream only. I am able to play AC3 files xvid/divx just fine. DTS does NOT work though however.

  5. hell yeah. that was it fellas. Once I set it to Off/Bitstream it automagically picked up on DD. Thanks for the help.
