hello
i have tried using ffmpeg to compress vob files to burn to mpeg (s)vcd but encountered lots of problums with audio sync.
i decided to try converting to .mov instead and try using QT Mutator to fix the sync problums. i used Diva with 3ivx to compress the video, and compressed the audio to mp2, combined to two and synced my movie in QT Mutator. Great!
so now ive got a movie thats in sync, and plays in Quicktime.
can convert it directly to vcd now some how?
i have read tutorials that say you can burn the .mov file directly to the VCD preset in Toast, but when i try that it tells me the file is unsupported.

The file is obviously not acceptable to the native drag/drop of Toast.
Go back to QT PRo, and export the file as Toast Compatible Video CD,
which will make your .mov a Toast compatible MPEG-1 file.
From there you can burn to VCD in Toast, simply by dragging and dropping to the Video CD window in Toast the newly created file. -
Terry,
Where is the 'Toast Compatible Video CD" option? I have QtPro 6.3 in MacOs 10.2.3 and cannot find that one. Do you mean "Movie to MPEG-4 Movie"? Or, is this option installed as a Qt option once Toast 6 is installed?
Thanx, Don
