My 25 pack spindle from CompUSA in Boulder, Colorado is Media Code "INFODISCA01".

  4. Last month I bought a 25 pack of Memorex 4X DVD-R at BestBuy. So far I'm zero for ten tries. On both my Sony or Pioneer burners the media errors out every time so next I'm going to try to use it in my Panasonic E50 recorder. If it craps out there then it goes in the trash.

And the point is ... ?

This was about +RW media, which Memorex has been known to use good media for. It's the -R that is junk from CMC most times.

I know this posting is about MEMOREX DVD+RW but I just want to say that some of MEMOREX 4X DVD+R is also CMC. I returned 2 spindles last month after burning a coaster. DVDINFO PRO identified them as CMC.

  7. I picked up the last spindle at the Naperville, IL compusa and mine had a media code of INFODISCA01. I burnt some data and it burned flawlessly. I'm not sure about dvd's as of yet, I will post after I burn one.
