I have some wonderfull source material. I have the video, I have the audio in english, I have the audio in Japanese and I have the subtitle script.
I have all I need to make a bilingual DVD with selectable subtitles.
...Cept not a clue how to do it.
I was initually working towards a bilingual subbed SVCD but it seems my DVD player only supports single audio tracks and no subtitles. :\ So naturally, I decided to up the anti to DVD. I'm looking for the right program to do this authoring job however, I typically use DVD-Lab for DVDs, but it has single audio channel support and no subs. I need to find an authoring program that will allow me to add in selectable subtitles. Little help?

The authoring program that I close to buying is Sonic's ReelDVD. I think that I saw a price of $499 US for it the other day. My research indicates that it supports up to eight audio streams and up to 32 subtitle streams per video. It also can handle AC-3 5.1 audio and can encode Dolby Digital stereo audio. I'm pretty sure that Adobe Encore DVD has similar specifications, and a similar price.

I was hopeing for a simpler and cheeper solution.
Heck, I'd be happy if i could compile the DVD, then just mux in the additional audio and subtitle data after the fact. :/ -
You can try IFOEdit - Check out this thread:

I'm looking into using programs to plant subtitles into a compiled DVD, mainly what programs to use with Ifoedit.
I'm facing a problem though, I'm trying to work with episodes, not a single movie. So while my subtitle scripts are for each episode, once the DVD is compiled all episodes and openings will be crammed into a single VOB and stream... So I'll need to find a way to merge all the subtitle scripts into a continious stream as well... Not to mention mention not screwing up the timeing in the process.
Oh, this is gonna be a fun ride. But once it's done, I can be proud of myself.
