Nero 5.5.10.42 will not recognize my new DVD burner LDW-411S. Has anyone else had this problem and are there any ways to correct? Thanks

I've contacted Nero support and am awaiting an answer. I have seen a site where it looks like Nero 6x supports the 411-S.

What about the stability of 551054? I've seen some issues with some of the later 5.5 releases?

    Pharlap,

I don't know if your posts are criticisms, or what, but it seem to me if they have made those changes in a week or less, they take their software updates very seriously. Unlike some companies who simply say "Not Supported". Hell, even MS had to be shamed into admitting to a bug. They'd never have repaired it if the "hackers" hadn't pointed it out. Intel and the floating point thing, also.

I don't mind going to the site on a weekly basis and checking.

At least they do improve, not like EZ CD whose V4.5 supported my LiteOn, and 5.0 didn't, but 5.02 did. Whether that was a little bit of spite because LiteOn bundles Nero, I don't know .

    Cheers,

    George

yeah they did do all this in the update and i'm not a critic.
these poor bastards are continually readjusting there burn engine to match not the drives but the amount of poor quality discs being made.
seems like no one likes to have standards any more its like when you want 100% beef patty on your burger but you know the bastard is full of soy
