Some of the movies I play on my new DVD player, an RCA DRC230N, are cut off at the bottom. This only happens with VCD's but not all of them. I burn all my VCD's with Nero and burn them all the same. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have tried changing the display but this still happens. I will be taking the DVD player back if I can't find a solution. Thanks

Have you tried playing the vcd`s on your computer and have you tried playing them on another dvd player on a different tv?

They are fine on my computer. I haven't tried playing them on a different DVD player because I don't really know a lot of people with newer DVD players. Everyone I know that has a DVD player can't play my movies at all.

Might be the overscan on your tv causing the picture to be cutoff on the bottom, bring the vcd to where you bought the dvd player and try it out there.

What I find strange is that it only does this with some movies, not all of them. They are all burned the same
