My boyfriend & I are getting different results to dvd ripping.
He was using #1 DVD Ripper, I think it's called, so I had him switch to the same as me & his audio is still out of sync.
DVD Decrypter
DVD2AVI
Tmpgenc
We're now both using the above software. His finished result from tmpgenc is out of sync, mine is not.
Is it some sort of setting in tmpgenc?
I have not compared out settings yet.
Any help would be appreciated
We're both using the same brand audio card. Mine is the Creative Live value, which came with the puter, & he's got sound blaster live, the purchased version.
He's on a 700 mhz processesor & I'm on a 1 gig, could that be the problem?
When he captures with his tv card into avi & then converts to mpg with tmpgenc, his results are fine. It's only when he rips a dvd that something's happening along the way & it's messed up.

You might try checking the audio sampling frequency under TMPGenc (SETTINGS/AUDIO) and make sure that they match between the systems. It may be that one is setup at 48 and the other at 44.1, leaving one to un-necassarily upsample or downsample (44.1->48 or 48->44.1). I've had issues with sync when up/downsampling.
Not really sure if this is the cause, but give it a shot.
Good luck !!
