    I just wonder whether there are any 'Open Source' projects on this area. There are a number of very good 'Freeware', but once the developer stops his / her work, all the efforts / knowhow will be lost. What a wastage!

    dvd author 0.6 is a open source project for authoring.

    Yes, I just learnt that VirtualDub is also a GPL-based open source project! Just thankful for all these contributors! Sorry that I am not a good programmer to contribute some effort.
