  1. If so, What Media have u tried and tested.
Ive reported that Burnstar DISCS dont work very well.
they are very very cheap snide 65p each discs but when they burn not many dvd players can read them so dont even bother.

  2. I have a 106D and have had lots of success with TYG01 (Fuji DVD-R) and RITEKG04 (TDK DVD-R). I had lots of problems with MXLRG01 (TDK DVD-R) but many others say that Maxell's are great so it may have been a bad batch I had.

  4. I won't use dirt cheap media so I am not sure on those others. You're best bet is to get a program like DVDInfoPro to read the media codes since any DVD could be made by just about any company. It is the media code that really matters and not what is stamped on it or what packaging it is in. The Media list here at DVDRHELP.com has lots of information once you get media codes of the discs you try.

I have a 106D and a 106RD (made for the far east) cheap disks I use are Datawrite 4x yellow and Bulkpaq 4x orange had no problems with either (apart from a bad lot of bulkpaq) and I always burn at 4x speed. Both writers have the latest firmware installed.
