    i have spiderman the movie on dvd i ripped it to one dvd-r with no extras now i have a dvd-r movie can i take that dvd-r movie and rip it to my 250 Gig HD as a MPG or a AVI ???


    P.S. if i can what is the best way to do this AVI, Mpeg, VCD, SVCD or others

    well maybe you could follow a guide. https://www.videohelp.com/guides

    but you have to know what you want to convert it too first

    as far as what is best is all subjective depending on what you want out of it, smaller file size? great quality?

    Easiest way I've found is use TMPGEnc DVD Author. It gives you the option of selecting a title off of an existing DVD and then outputing it to your hard drive as an MPG.
