  1. Hey everyone I have a major problem that needs to be solved ASAP!!!

I am in Premiere (6 and 6.5) and I am trying to add transitions and blue screen effects. When I add a transition it always like fades to black and then does a straight cut to the next video and the blue screen keeps showing up with a black background insted of the video.

I think the problem may be in the captured video.

    Thanks!

It sounds like you don't have Realtime Preview enabled when you're playing back the video. When you hit the space bar to preview the video, it will go black when it hits an effect that you added.

To enable Realtime Preview in Premiere 6.5, Click Project > Project Settings > Keyframe and Rendering, Then Check Real Time Preview. When you want to view the effects, put the cursor were you want on the timeline and hit ENTER.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

Racer X is correct. Sounds like it needs to be rendered. If you use the Pinnacle transitions as apposed to the others, you won't have to render. To view your transition before rendering, hold down alt while scrubbing accross the timeline. It'll give you what your effect will look like. If it's what you want, then you can hit enter to render[/quote]
