MPEG film (from tv) Removing adverts etc?

H all

I recored a film off tv other day. Now it is a MPEG file 2 hours long.. I am looking for a fairly good , easy or shall I say a real good progam for removing adverts etc .... I used SONIC MY DVD 4.5 to recored film .. I have NERO 6 with Nero vIsion Express 2 I can remove adverts with that though fiddly etc plus slow but the thing is the sound goes out of sync with this program when played back...

Does anyone know of any good MPEG editting programs please .. Plus a good program for making not so basic menus for making chapters etc..

Use Tmpgenc DVD Author. You can edit out the commecerials, create chapters and menus and burn all in one program. I use it to make a copy of the TV show 24.

Both will edit MPEG without re-rendering video.

They *will* re-render the audio.
