Can I use Nero's DVD-Video option to burn an .mpg filed prepared for the DVD format. Nero's DVD-VIDEO option asks for a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS file, which I obviously do not possess.
Do I need either/both? If so, how do I create them?

I would use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create the VIDEO_TS folder
then burn it either with TMPGEnc or Nero Express -
Thanks I tried TMPGEnc Author, in addition to IfoEdit, and used each in conjunction with DVD sShrink but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to place the VOB/VTS files from TWO movies on a single DVD.
I fave two, even three, films following conversion that total less than the 4.7 GB limit but TMPGEnc DVD author gives me errors when I try to create multiple tracks and Nero won't permit me to load multiple VIDEO_TS files on a single disk.
Any suggestions? -

I'm using the 1.5.15.49 of TMPGenc DVD and I get the following errors:
1)Incompatible Video Resolution (The video compression format MPEG-x is not compatible with the current track. The video compression format MPEG-x is not compatible with the current track. The main problem seems to be that TMPGEnc seems to think you're trying to put all movies in the same title (and all mpegs that make up a title must have the same properties), where, as i gather it's several different movies, they should be authored as separate titles (that may have different resolution (I think). (Prob 1 & 2)
3) indicates that the frame rate of the mpegs you're adding aren't the same for all videos. I doubt this would work, even if you put them in different titles. (This could make the DVD PAL/NTSC "dual fomat" which I've never heard of).

Mats--
Per your assessment and recommendation-- how then do I author the two films (each indeed its own mpeg file) as two separate titles?

Haven't done that myself, but I should think it's somewhere in the manual?
(I don't have TMPGEnc D A on this box...) "Add title"?

To author different mpgs in tmpgenc dvd author they must be 352x240/288,352x480/576,704x480/576,720x480/576 at 29.97 fps and (23.967 fps with 3:2 pulldown) with pcm,ac3 or mp2 audio
Any of these resolutions can be added in separate tracks but you can't put ntsc and pal on the same dvd. -
Just read the error msg
Please add another track (using "Source setup"), add to a different track -
When I add multiple video_ts to a disk I usualy rename the second one by adding an s to the end (Videos_TS).
That works for me.I'm a victim of circumstance
