  1. Hey.. this is killin me, i'm tring to record video from my DV Camera..
and whenever I record, whenever there is just a tad bit of emotion.. there seems to be a lot of a 'windy' effect on the video, or like when someone moves.. there is lines going threw the motion.

This has done this for me in the past.. on video files i have downloaded, and other stuff like that.. it used to never do it when I was capturing.. but now it is..

i obviously can't have a whole bunch of big lines going threw the video whenever there is motion (which is like all the time, since everyone moves, even the slightest movement triggers it).. especially since i am going to present it..

so anyone know how i can fix these dreaded lines that are going threw motion in my videos.. and how to stop it!!

    thanks!!!

Sounds like you're talking about interlacing. Do a little reading (links on left, and search for interlacing on the forum). If it'll calm you down to reformat your hard drive go for it, but patience will help you more.

the lines show up because the computer screen in not interlacing the frames. it should look fine when you burn it to DVD properly and watch it on a TV set.

I had this problem, and it had me capturing in MPEG format until I realized that thie lines disappear when you burn to disc and watch on TV.

ps- if this is occurring on your actual TV then I don't know what you should do.
