Recordnow Max Problems

Hi there i have been using recordnow max for burning DVDs for ages using data mode and burning VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS, but after a reformat i can no longer use Recordnow max

When i try to burn a DVD it freezes the entire computer after 1 minute of burning, i have tried 4.50 and the new 6.50 Deluxe happens on them both, just for a test i tried a Data CD and it would copy to the end then fail,

So to see if it was my computer or the program i tried Nero 6 and i can copy both Data DVD and Data CD with no problems

What going on any ideas? i much prefer recordnow and would like to use it.

P.S i updated the ASPI drivers and no difference

Did you install that packet writing file program that comes with RecordNow max for recording to RW disc? If so remove it as it conflicts with just about everything. I would look in windows device manager for any hardware conflicts and while I was there make sure DMA is enabled for the DVD burner and all other drives.

Thanks for your help but none of that has worked?

If i am going to be stuck with Nero what do i have to do to make 100% complient DVDs?

i have heard so many people complain Nero has problems with this

You re-formated so did you get all the windows updates and service packs installed?

Yep, windows is totally up todate

i dont understand it, very strange, it is a new motherboard i installed before i formatted but i dont see why that would matter.

might not be related, but I had a similar problem when I didn't have a "working" ASPI layer installed... I believe that it was corrupted somehow. Anyway, I downloaded a new copy of ForceASPI and installed it... worked like a charm.. no more problems

i just got the ASPI from Adaptec, would appreciate a link to this Force ASPI so i can try it

OK Thanks for your help but i have waisted 8 DVDs now trying various fixes and nothing works not willing to lose any more i am gona uninstall it

Will the latest Version of Nero (60028) burn complient DVDs using the DVD Video Method?
