  1. I used DVD2One and only chose the DTS soundtrack.
My Cyberhome has no problem with it, but my friend's player wont play the track. The video is fine but not the audio.
All his DD 5.1 stuff plays fine.
He is using the Coaxial Out and the DVD player is indeed DTS compatible.

    Any ideas???

    thx

  2. You say his DVD player is DTS compatible.
    What about his amp?
Can he play the DTS track on commercial disks?

  3. his amp is also DTS compatible...
I also told him to press his "Audio" button to try and change tracks on the DVD player while it was playing..Maybe DTS was on track #2 and his player defaulted to 1..Anywys..that did not work

I told him to find a retail DTS DVD and see if it plays...He is pretty sure that he has seen his Amp light up with "DTS DGTL SURR" before though.

    thx

  4. The DVD standard requires that all disks must have at leats one audio track of either PCM or AC3 (or mp2 in Europe). Your disk has none of these. It may be that your friends player is more 'standards compliant' than yours and is not happy with DTS as the only audio track.

  6. well...that makes a little more sense...His DVD player is one of those older (read 3yr old) Sony's that might have to be more "compliant"

    thx
