Need help with stuff dowloaded from Kazaa

Downloaded a couple movies from Kazaa.. when playback via windows media player is attempted, I get black screens.. no sound.. nothing, just a black screen with the time running.

I looked at properties for the video clip and saw the following:

Video:
Frame rate: 3 frames/sec

Data rate: 37 kbps

Video sample size: 1 bit

Video compression: uncompressed

Audio:

only shows the duration

Image:

Width: 352 pixels
Heighth: 288 pixels


I tried to run it thru TMPGE without success..said the audio was unsupported

what do I have??.something I can't play or record??

Hey buddy... shouldn't be telling us that you downlaod movies off Kazaa.... that's warez... not allowed . But I suggest you run the file through Gspot or AVICodec.... it'l tell you stuff (codecs you need, where to downlaod). 3 fps? 37 kbps? First of all it would be choppy as hell and look like shit if such a thing exits... could be a phony file or something made by a complete retard. If it really is uncompressed audio, it shouldn't be a prob for TMPGenc.

Guys if you feel that a post is breaking the forum rules then please report it by clicking on the report post link, not by reprimanding the member in the thread. Particularly when the member has done nothing wrong. Where in his post does it say anything about warez. Are there any movie titles in the thread yet to be released that I missed ?. There are such things as public domain movie files, just because someone had downloaded something from kaazaa does not mean they are breaking copyright law.

On this site we take the stance innocent untill proven guilty.

Now to the question, looks like a fake empty file to me.

Huh, just looking at the first post I see no warez mentioned specifically

Maybe he downloaded my "Magic by ME" and "Magic Advanced by me" sample movies
Those 2, and some others are perfectly legal movies to download from anywhere, I made them, so I say so !!
My copyright, my choice!

Of course if he got warez movies, then go away guy!

By the way, the movies I made that I mentioned, If you happen to find it laying around and it works for you, it is good if you like magic tricks and illusions. Unfortunately they may not work! That's why I took them down again, though I can't take down any copies that others might be still be sharing. I put them up for a test, and while several people were getting them that were supposed to get them, also some other people found them same time and got them too.

I will be putting them back online for sharing again when I find out what I did wrong or how they got corupted. They worked for me, but all my friends say after getting them through the net, they can't get them to work

The DVD I am/was making is not comming along very well, camera problems etc...
