  1. I'm having some trouble with this one. When I open it up in DVDShrink3.0, it says the total size for keeping all of the titles I want is 11 or 12 gigs. But, when I look at the entire DVD, it's of course only about 7.2 gigs. Is this because some of the titlesets overlap or something? I watched most of them, and it didn't appear that any of them are the same.

Plus, I can't just copy the whole thing in DVDShrink since it won't let me go below 44% compression!

    Help!

  3. I've just tried my copy of the bonus disc with Shrink 3 beta 5 and it seems fine.

It did a quick analysis then suggested an automatic compression of 58%. I haven't actually ripped it but I see no reason for it not to work.

Of course, I've got the Region 2 disc; there could be a difference.

Have you tried ripping it first with DVD Decrypter? I always do that anyway before 'Shrinking'.

sounds like there is more than one version of the movie on the disc. in Shrink how many titles are under the Main Movie folder? under the view menu deselect shared titles.

It's got multi-angle, which DVDShrink doesn't like in re-author mode. Drop some of the multi's and all will be well....

If you want to keep the multi-angle....I haven't had a problem doing that with instantcopy

  7. Thanks for the input, guys.

I know how to get rid of multi angles in IFOEdit, but won't running it through IFOEdit render it unreadable in DVDShrink3? I seem to remember running a couple of movies through IFOEdit then using DVDShrink to compress, and it wouldn't open the files, saying something about a tree structure error.

Can I remove the multi angles with DVDShrink itself? I would try and see for myself, but I don't have access to my computer for the next couple of days.

Also, I ripped with DVDDecrypter. I never run DVDShrink off the disc -- too slow!

    Thanks again for the help.

  8. How do you drop multi angles using IFOEdit yet still open the result in DVDShrink? Every time I process something in IFOEdit then try to go to DVDShrink, it gives me an error when I'm opening the files. It says something about unrecognizable tree structure.

To toss my results in the ring - my backup worked fine. Used the non-beta version of dvdshrink and did the full copy method using a R1 master.

  10. In DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 , go to View and check "Combine Shared Titles" after files are loaded.
