i rip video tracks to a m2v file ,but when they are done a 5 minute video is about 300 meg and the video bitrate is 8000.....how low can i go on the bitrate so i dont lose quality???![]()

I'm assuming you're reencoding??
I personally find, that original quality determines how low you can go. If your output is for interlaced, then that too is much more forgiving than your monitor.
On a final note, if it's possible via AVISynth script, resize your video to 352x480, and then you can take advantage of even lower bitrates.
