  1. is there a way i dont have to make menus and stuff and just have a program burn the mpeg-2 files i made straight to disc (and still play)?

  2. You still have to author, but you can author without the menus. Authoring gives you structure you need to make it DVD compliant.

    Just about any authoring tool will do what you want.

    A few DVD players can read MPEG files without any authoring, but they are the exception. I've seen it work on a APEX AD-1200 and a Norcent DP-300. I had small files burned on CD-RW though; don't know if it will work on DVD-+R/RW.

    Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 will author your MPEG-2 files.
