    I just bought a Western Digital Hard drive. Which I wanted to install as a slave drive. Does Windows xp automatically detect it or do I need to install some type of drivers. (It didn't come with any)

    WindowsXP will automatically detect the drive. There are no drivers required.

    Just make sure you set the jumers on the drive to slave, and that it is in the slave position on the ribbon cable (the middle connector).
