  1. i've put one of my recorded dvds a (DVD+RW which i've recorded on to with my philips standalone dvd recorder) and it gives me this message.

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    The error is:

    The reason is: Unknown

I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem, i would like to get this sorted out asap please. If anyone has ideas on how to fix this problem please submit it.

  3. when using +RW's I just use TMPGE DVD author, it puts it on the hard drive as a MPEG2 file then either author it or cut out any commericals and make my own better looking menu's than what phillips gives you, burn it with Recordnow.
Very simple to use, even my wife has been doing this so she can put charmed(Yuk) and smallville(Yuk) on DVD+R with a burner on the PC after editing them from the DVD+RW from her Magnavox(phillips clone) DVD Recorder.

    OK Guys....I need HELP.
    1) If the DVD Shrink problem was "solved"....how? I still can't get Shrink to recognize my Philips created +R's.

    2) Regarding TMPGEnc DVD Author and Philips created +R's....is anyone but me having trouble with a LONG(almost 2 hours in most cases) creation time(Create DVD Folder) and the finished product looking like CRAP?
I can load any other factory DVD material into TMPGEnc DVD Author....have it create the folders SUPER FAST...and have the finished product look spectacular. I even let TMPGEnc DVD Author load the material to the HD itself from the Philips +R instead of using DVDDecrypter....same result.
    What am I doing wrong?
