I've spent hours searching for tips and how-to guides for converting extracted programs from TiVo, but haven't found much. What I'm trying to do is convert the extracted files into a format that is 1) much smaller than the original files(typically 1 GB/hr. of video), and 2) can be played on my standalone DVD player.
The extracted file formats are .m2v for video and .m2a for audio. I can import the .m2v file into QuickTime Pro and export as .mp4, with a file size roughly 1/2 the original. However, I don't know how or what application I should use to import the audio file and burn both to a CD or DVD?
Is there some other application I should use other than QuickTime? I'm trying to do this on a Mac, but can do it on a PC if needed.

Hi!
Look in the "Tools Section" at your left. And in the "How To Guides" you'll find plenty of info and tutorials.
Good Luck!
