A06=DVR-104?

I purchased a Pioneer DVR-A06U a couple of days ago from Compusa. I installed it and noticed in the device manager that the drive reads as DVD-RW DVR-104. From reading around here, i would have thought it would show DVR-106. Am I confused? Should I have 106 or is this one correct? The sticker on the drive shows A06. Thanks

It should read DVR-106 or DVR-106X where X could be anything from A to D.

After applying the RPC-1 patch to my A06, it shows as DVR-106D.

it should not show up as dvr-104, was it a open boxed item ?There is a sticker on the drive itself that should read A06 and the serial # on the drive should match the one on the retail box.

The serial number on the box and the drive match. The serial number via Nero Info Tool does not match the other serial numbers on the box and drive. The sticker on the drive and the box show A06 but the device manager shows dvr-104. I have thought about updating the firmware but I am unsure which one to use. (104 vs. 106) Thanks for the help.
