best for the money eh?? Oxygen Labs, they make professional video editing cards, they go for around $1000 but you can get an older model for bout 400 ( these prices are in CDN$'s)

what i meant was, the best card for the least amount of money. also i have a AMD-k6 3d processor

i would say ATI Radeon All in wonder or Geforce 2GTS, both are good cards but, ATI has more features ( although it does have intitial driver problems, now that are hopefully fixed)

was looking at an ATI RADEON 32mb card at walmart, has s-video out. if i was to use this i would need a long s-video cable, do they make long long s-video cables?
is this card any good? -
ya i have a long S-video cable, about 12 feet long, but u can get longer, which Radeon is it, there is a bunch of em out there, they are all generally good but i personally like the All in wonder

would it show a full screen picture on my tv from a movie downloaded in mpeg or avi format?

its a decent card, i think it supports 2 monitors. Im pretty sure it has good TV out quality. But if you want raw 3D power for gaming, i suggest you pay a little more and get a higher end card or just wait for the next gen Radeon2

Just one thing to remember ... ATI & Macrovision!! Not a winning combination.
