  1. hello
i have done a few dvd-rs with my home videos and on my sony dvd and my girl friend dvd (also sony) they all play fine, but with other dvd's they refuse to play. i also tested on 2 philips dvd's and they also play, but panasonic is not working just like some not so known brands... i'm using verbatims dvd-r's.. anyone has any clue about this incompatibility or some tests that i can do to find out..?

    thanks for your replys

  2. Some players simply won't play DVD-R or DVD+R so do a search for the player model number here https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and see if DVD-R is supported.

Some expierence,my ancient Toshiba Sd1009 will not play any DVD-R burned as UDF/ISO(Ner0 5.5),but will play DVD-R burned as Video DVD (Nero 6) or with CloneDVD.
My newer Toshiba Sd-K620 will play any DVD-R except if was authored with IFOEDIT even if burned as UDF/ISO.

maybe it's the way i authored them...
most of the times i have used dvd-lab, sometimes i burnt from there sometimes i burnt with nero...
    can be that the problem?

  6. Hi.
    DVD-Rs are making me crazy!!!
I think I'll create a site called www.dvdhell.com for everyone who decides to play freesbie with DVD-R discs.
