Hello all,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm getting with editing movies.
I have several MPG movies that come from my HP digital camera. (By the way, I've been very happy with HP cameras, much better movies than the avi's that come from kodak's cams).
The movies play just fine by themselves in media player, etc. No audio problems at all. But whenever I put them into a editing program (Ulead Video studio, Sony's Screenblast, etc). There is a audio synch problem. The audio starts fine, but starts lagging behind. These movies are only 1 minute each, and by about 30 seconds, it is very noticable. This happens even if you only put the one move straight into the editing software and preview it on the timeline.
The resolution of the movies are as follows:
Video: 288 x 208 29.970 fps
Audio : 96 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 1 channel
Even if I start a new project using the softwares ability to match the output to a certain file (using one of the movies as the template), it still happens. It seems to be consistant no matter what format I publish to, DV, DVD, etc.
Any clues why this is happening? Is there anything funky about that file format? It looks pretty standard to me. Any suggestions as to how I can fix it. Could I perhaps use some program to re-sample the file first?
Much thanks in advance!
