I cannot find a cancel button. Can i just press the x on the form to stop the process?

  2. Why don't just push [x] and see?

If not Ctrl+Alt+Delete should give you some help, or you could even try Alt+4.

As far as I remember there are many tabs with options in this program, and I think there should be a cancel button under "Encoding", but I'm not really sure...

If this program works similar to DVD2SVCD,which generally refuses to stop, and if you are using XP OS, one way to stop it is to go to the Task Manager and stop it there. No need to reboot then.

Just close the form. That stops SVCD2DVD. The current process (mplex, dvdfolders etc) will either need to killed manually (taskmanager) or it will stop when its finished processing.
