  1. Hi all, I have downloaded ffmpegx and i'm a little confused!!

Currently I tried to use toast 6 to author a dvd but found that the sound was very choppy so assumed that it was down to toasts encoding. I now need a tool that will convert avi files to something I can burn onto a dvd, possibly using toast ultimately. Is there a guide out there for this or can someone advise me of the settings in ffmpegx??

  2. Drop the AVI onto the ffmpegX application icon and choose DVD Quick Preset, and hit encode.

  3. Thats what I did and the audio was choppy! The video was fine however!

    This was the input:

    VIDEO: 34PM, size: 352x240, 14.985 fps, 376 kbps. AUDIO: mp3, 24000Hz, 56 kbps.

  4. Try to use DivX Doctor II first.. same result? Also, have you considered to convert such low quality source to VCD instead of DVD?
